Making Scissor Lift Table 18V
I needed mobile workbench at the workshop for a long time so I decided to make it using relatively simple materials and whatever was at hand. During work I resolved to use old and broken power tools to make the rising mechanism.

Tools we use - www.amazon.com/shop/madeinpoland As you can see in the video, the equipment works really well. We drilled several dozen 20 cm/8" holes with it without any problems. I think larger diameter drills would not be a problem. Chainsaw used in the video is the EA4300F38C model (3hp) ps. Makita is not a sponsor of this video. Tools we use - www.amazon.com/shop/madeinpoland Making your own workshop crane may be pointless for many of you when you can go to Habrot Freigh and buy a new one for little money. However, I decided to do it myself for several reasons. I adjusted the dimensions to fit my small and low workshop. The wheels are small, so I can roll them under my tables, which gives me greater opportunity to prec...

Making mobile Plasma Cutting Track
Переглядів 11 тис.3 місяці тому
When making this device, you tried to use inexpensive parts and relatively simple tools. The whole thing is powered by an 18v battery and a motor with a gear from an old broken drill. The cutter used in the video has 45 amps. Theoretically, it can cut up to 10 mm (not qualitative). Using a tracker, I can qualitatively cut about 12 mm.
Making Wood Chopper & Branch Splitter
Переглядів 45 тис.4 місяці тому
Branch cutters are generally known, but unfortunately their prices are high. Using our tools, we decided to make it ourselves and save a lot of money. The machine has two cutting shafts, thanks to which the resistance is lower than in the case of one shaft and the branches can be thicker. Additionally, we made two plates that cut the branches in half, which will enable the grinding of much thic...
HomeMade Kinetic Log splitter (better than hydraulic?)
Переглядів 736 тис.5 місяців тому
amzn.to/49qpyNS - Makita Drill For many people, a kinetic splitter may be a better solution than a hydraulic splitter. The biggest advantage of such a splitter is its speed. The entire cycle takes less than a second, thanks to the energy accumulated in the very heavy flywheel. My splitter may be a bit too fast, but I had no way to choose other gears. A 2.2 kW / 3 HP motor is fine for such a machine. Even with high pressure on the chain it works without any problem. Thanks to the foldable structure, the whole thing is very maneuverable and does not take up to much space. In the next video we will show you how to make a kinetic splitter, which you can see during the tests.

A wood splitter is a very helpful tool, especially if you have knotty wood. We used a lot of steel to build our splitter to make the whole thing very stable. The main frame is 2 steel C-sections 160 mm and a flat bar 200x12. The gear is driven by a 2.2 kW gear motor with an output speed of 20 revolutions per minute. The toothed rack is a 2 x M4 (40x40) module, unhardened, and the gears of the s...

Great video! Talk about over built! Lumber must be much cheaper in Poland than America. That beast would have cost around $1000 in the U.S. Cheers! Świetny film! Mów o przebudowanej! Drewno w Polsce musi być znacznie tańsze niż w Ameryce. Ta bestia kosztowałaby w USA około 1000 dolarów. Pozdrawiam!

I would have used a trailer jack instead of all that fab and carrying a bottle jack. I just picked up a weld on one. Has the round cylinder to Weld to whatever. Then a pull pin to attach or rotate. Has like 28" of travel with side crank handle and drop down leg with pin. $60 weld on and you're done. The pivot makes me jealous though. I picked up a used crane for $150. Cylinder leaks a little, the pivot just a pipe inside another pipe base with gussets. Has a nylon washer between the 2. Cleaning and greasing no has it better but...poor design

Who has all that metalworking equipment to begin with? And who has perfect rounds like that? Using this splitter has safety issues. Note how close the operator lets his hands get at times.

You built it very nicely! I would like to make one comment: you have fixed one of the outputs of the differential. With this, you have reduced the ratio by half. It does not cut perfectly because the speed of the cutting roller is low. And the solution is right there in your hands: free the fixed output and simply weld the planetary gears of the differential inside. It will cut beautifully! Very clever!

Is there a way to compare it to the tonnage of a hydraulic cylinder to get some kind of idea of what it can do? I really like the seriousness of that splitter but it can be deceiving by the wood you were splitting. One thing for certain is there is no forgiveness if your fingers are in the wrong place. I’m dealing with so much variety with the wood that I split and burn,so I’m more comfortable using my hydraulics. But I can definitely see a purpose in a more perfect world to have and use the one you built. I’m getting old and slightly slower nowadays but I think I might have preferred yours some years back. Thanks for sharing your work ethics, knowledge and build. Peace

Man I’m a retired welder fabricator of over forty years, and I’m putting you up there with me brother. lol. Really nice work. That thing doesn’t play , I would like to see it split some hard oak or maple, just to see what it does. But I have to say, you did a fine job building it. ✌️👍. Oh one more thing, I would love to see it with the shrouds off to see just a bit more. I am impressed for sure. I’ve been doing fab work most of my life. It’s good to see someone else that does the same thing. The few jobs I’ve had working for someone else, when you’re good at this type of thing they always leave you to do your thing. It’s like being your own boss even though you work for someone. I know I drove a lot of people crazy because I don’t ever get yelled at and people do get jealous of the respect I always got. I always enjoyed working because it is something different all the time. Good luck to you brother. ✌️
